Aerodrome Reporting Officer

Martuku Watkamutiku is looking to recruit and train two (2) Martu to work on one of the regional airstrips in Martu ngurra. To fill this role, you will need to undertake aerodrome reporting officer [ARO] training initially, and any candidate with experience in ARO would be well regarded.

You will also need to maintain the airstrip, using roller, water cart and occasional larger loader or skid loader.  Any Martu holding a HR and drivers licenses will be prioritised as a candidate. We are hoping to fill these roles with local community members within ngurra, or otherwise on a FIFO basis, from Bidyidanga, Port Hedland, or Perth, otherwise via DIDO.  

 
ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Casual ongoing with intention to place for permanency.

  • Roster will be 2/1 or 8/6 according to the need of the customer.

  • You will need to pass full medical and D&A tests, audio, lung, muscular skeletal, and fitness assessments.


MOBILE PLANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Water cart operators

  • Compactor / roller

  • MR license for bus or transport


TICKETS & OTHER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Construction white card

  • Drivers licence

  • Min 1 years exp within civil industry

  • Machinery operation tickets (desirable)
